Through a distinctly vertical and architectural composition, master artist Constantino Laura constructs a “city of memory,” where monolithic structures rise like totems steeped in history and mysticism. The color palette is earthy and refined: golden ochres, earthy browns, luminous creams, and stony grays predominate, evoking the warmth of the setting sun on granite surfaces.
Each strip and column of the tapestry is enriched with iconography that functions as whispers from the past; staggered, waves, and spirals intertwine in a play of textures and reliefs that only mastery of the loom and the brocade technique can achieve. The presence of a suspended star in the upper corner bathes the scene in an eternal light, creating an atmosphere of wonder and reverence for the sacred.
